Print-inspired web — a magazine spread that scrolls

vibe: folio-proud, editorial, ink-logical

A prompt-form experiment: design a product story as a magazine spread that happens to be a website.
• Editorial spread: a hero that opens like a cover — masthead, cover line, one image with a caption — then a table of contents that is honest about what the page contains, because a magazine that lies about its contents gets thrown away.
• Folio rules: running head with section name and folio number, rules between columns, and a real grid with 12 columns the layout visibly obeys; the grid is part of the design language and the viewer should sense it.
• Ink logic: type sizes that respect print logic (body 16–18 px, measure 60–72 characters, hanging punctuation on quotes) — the discipline of ink applied to pixels.
• Pull quotes: two pull quotes placed at column breaks with the source named and the rule that a pull quote never repeats the paragraph verbatim.
• Palette: newsprint, ink, one spot colour used like a second ink on a press run.

Before you run it, know this
  • Lowest score was Codex at 90/100 — Grid discipline excellent; wanted a running head.
  • All models built cleanly on the first pass.
