About Howly

Howly is a how-to library built around one idea: instructions should be specific enough that a beginner can follow them without guessing. Every guide is written in plain English, organized into numbered steps, and reviewed before it goes live.

How a guide gets made

  1. We pick a task people actually search for and outline the real-world steps.
  2. An editor checks the sequence, the materials, and the safety notes.
  3. Where possible, a practitioner co-authors or reviews the finished draft.
  4. After publishing, reader questions are folded back into the Q&A section.

Editorial standards

Steps must be testable, materials must be named, and warnings must describe the actual risk. We avoid vague advice such as “use the right amount” unless the exact amount is unknown — in which case we explain how to judge it.
