Refund policy

Ask within 14 days of a charge and you get that charge back in full. No form, no reason required, no “explain why” screen between you and the money.

What is covered

  • A renewal you did not expect — including the annual plan renewing after you stopped using it.
  • A charge inside the last 14 days, for any reason or none.
  • A duplicate charge, or a plan change that billed twice.

Cancelling is separate

Cancelling and refunding are two different things and you can do either without the other. Cancel stops the next renewal and keeps access until the end of the period you paid for — that is the cancel path, and it is designed so that leaving is a button rather than a maze. A refund ends the current period early and returns its money.

How to ask

This deployment has no payment processor attached: no card can be charged and no subscription can exist, so there is nothing to refund. The window above is the policy that applies the moment billing is switched on, written down now rather than invented later.

The part that is still manual

There is no self-serve refund button. Asking means a human reads your message and issues it, which takes days, not seconds. That is the honest state of the process today; automating it would mean a refund endpoint, and a refund endpoint that is not wired to the billing records would be worse than a person.

The 14-day window is the one number on this page that is a promise rather than a description of code, so it lives in one place (src/lib/legal.ts) and is quoted on the terms page from the same constant. If it changes, this page and that one change together.
